The Wise Farmer

كان في فلاح عجوز عنده حمار واحد. يوم الحمار هرب. الجيران قالوا: "يا خسارة!" الفلاح قال: "مين يعرف؟" بعد أسبوع الحمار رجع ومعاه حصان بري. الجيران قالوا: "يا حظك!" الفلاح قال: "مين يعرف؟" ابن الفلاح ركب الحصان ووقع وكسر رجله. الجيران قالوا: "يا مصيبة!" الفلاح قال: "مين يعرف؟" جه الجيش ياخد الشباب للحرب، لكن ابن الفلاح ما راحش لأن رجله مكسورة.

🇬🇧 English: There was an old farmer who had one donkey. One day the donkey ran away. The neighbors said: "What a loss!" The farmer said: "Who knows?" After a week, the donkey returned with a wild horse. The neighbors said: "How lucky!" The farmer said: "Who knows?" The farmer's son rode the horse, fell, and broke his leg. The neighbors said: "What a disaster!" The farmer said: "Who knows?" The army came to take young men to war, but the farmer's son didn't go because his leg was broken.

🇫🇷 Français: Il était une fois un vieux fermier qui avait un âne. Un jour, l'âne s'est enfui. Les voisins ont dit: "Quelle perte!" Le fermier a dit: "Qui sait?" Après une semaine, l'âne est revenu avec un cheval sauvage. Les voisins ont dit: "Quelle chance!" Le fermier a dit: "Qui sait?" Le fils du fermier a monté le cheval, est tombé et s'est cassé la jambe. Les voisins ont dit: "Quel malheur!" Le fermier a dit: "Qui sait?" L'armée est venue prendre les jeunes hommes pour la guerre, mais le fils du fermier n'y est pas allé car sa jambe était cassée.

The Secret of the Pyramid

ملك قديم سأل حكيم: "إيه سر الهرم اللي يخليه يفضل قايم آلاف السنين؟" الحكيم قال: "الأساس يا مولاي. الهرم قاعدته عريضة وقوية. كل حاجة عظيمة لازم يكون أساسها متين. العلم أساس النجاح، والصبر أساس الحكمة، والحب أساس السعادة."

🇬🇧 English: An ancient king asked a wise man: "What is the secret of the pyramid that makes it stand for thousands of years?" The wise man said: "The foundation, my lord. The pyramid's base is wide and strong. Everything great must have a solid foundation. Knowledge is the foundation of success, patience is the foundation of wisdom, and love is the foundation of happiness."

🇫🇷 Français: Un roi ancien a demandé à un sage: "Quel est le secret de la pyramide qui lui permet de tenir pendant des milliers d'années?" Le sage a dit: "La fondation, mon seigneur. La base de la pyramide est large et solide. Tout ce qui est grand doit avoir une fondation solide. Le savoir est la fondation du succès, la patience est la fondation de la sagesse, et l'amour est la fondation du bonheur."

The Cat and the Nile

قطة صغيرة كانت عايشة جنب النيل. كل يوم تشوف السمك في المية وتتمنى تاكله. مرة حاولت تنط في المية لكن غرقت تقريباً. صياد عجوز أنقذها وقال: "يا بنتي، مش كل حاجة تشوفيها تقدري تاخديها. لازم تتعلمي الأول، وبعدين تحاولي."

🇬🇧 English: A little cat lived by the Nile. Every day she saw fish in the water and wished to eat them. Once she tried to jump in the water but almost drowned. An old fisherman saved her and said: "My daughter, not everything you see can you take. You must learn first, then try."

🇫🇷 Français: Une petite chatte vivait au bord du Nil. Chaque jour, elle voyait des poissons dans l'eau et souhaitait les manger. Une fois, elle a essayé de sauter dans l'eau mais a failli se noyer. Un vieux pêcheur l'a sauvée et a dit: "Ma fille, tout ce que tu vois, tu ne peux pas le prendre. Tu dois d'abord apprendre, puis essayer."
